My Project
This project is a two-for-one project! The first part is to restock our PBIS store. Our students utilize the PBIS store by using the points they earn for positive behaviors to shop our store, which I run. I stocked it at the beginning of the year using DonorsChoose and my own purchases. Now I have run very low on items due to our students earning SO many points, which is amazing. I have enjoyed allowing our 5th-grade leaders to assist with the store deliveries as well, another good incentive for those positive behaviors!
My students LOVE to utilize Legos to calm themselves down and regulate, explain what is going on and why they are upset, or to work together on restorative projects to problem solve.
So, the second part is to restock some of my Legos that have disappeared over the last two years. I brought almost my entire personal collection to school due to the overwhelming love for them, as well as learning how to create LEGO fidget boards. Those have helped SO many students be able to focus and regulate in class. I am hoping that by having more options and more pieces, I will be able to continue to create fidget sets for classrooms as well as specific students.
Please help me reach this goal which will continue to improve student behaviors, emotion regulation, social skills, and overall relationships within the building.
