PBIS Snack Rewards

Help me give my students snacks as rewards for their positive behavior for PBIS.

My Students

Walk into our room and you'll hear keyboards clicking, chat boxes dinging, and YouTube videos playing. Are my students off task? NO! They are using Chromebooks to meet their individual needs, build collaborative skills, and gaining the necessary technical knowledge to be successful in the 21st century.

We service a high number of military children, but a higher number of low-income families. Our school consists of approximately 75% of the students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. We also have students who struggle with being homeless in our community. In addition, our area felt the impact of Hurricane Florence with severe flooding.

My Project

As a school, we utilize behavioral support models that track student growth as well as provide positive behavior intervention and supports (PBIS).

PBIS rewards increased positive behavior throughout the school.

As a school, we look for ways to implement PBIS, but PBIS is also a key daily and weekly component in the classroom. We encourage students to strive to do their best and earn rewards for showing positive social, emotional, and behavioral skills.

I am requesting a variety of incentives. These incentives are prizes such as, cookies, chips, and drinks that our high school students can receive as a reward for earning Trojan Tickets for their positive behavior. I am also requesting four Amazon Echo Dots as a reward incentive for my students. This Echo Dot will be available for students in the PBIS store. These dots will provide access to the internet and online media to assist them in studying, and reward them with the ability to play music and audio books. High School comes with a lot of pressure, so extra incentives for their positive behavior in the classroom, hallways, and the cafeteria.
