This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The expectations within our school community are designed to promote a positive environment: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe, and Be a Leader. These guiding principles are the foundation of our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, which effectively enhances student behavior. PBIS is an evidence-based approach recognized for its ability to improve various student outcomes, including social, emotional, behavioral, and academic development. It plays a crucial role in cultivating a strong school culture where all students have the opportunity to thrive. As part of our PBIS initiatives, we implement a rewards program to recognize and celebrate students who consistently demonstrate these positive behaviors each week. This program not only provides tangible rewards but also reinforces the significance of maintaining positive behavior throughout our school community. We encourage participation in this program as a means to foster recognition and motivation for all students.
