This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning. Brad Henry
I work in a Title I school in North Alabama, the majority of our students are low income kids.
Our students range from low to upper class. Our kids love to have fun and learn.
We want to give every kid the opportunity the learn more, and be good at what they do. We want them to leave feeling successful in everything that they do.
My Project
These board games, Monopoly, Pay Day and The Game of Life will be awesome in the classroom. We have been talking about money and financials. We working with 8th graders some of them know exactly what you are talking about and some still need some help.
These board games will be very beneficial in the learning process.
They will be able to apply what they know and what they are learning. I would have loved this in school to learn more about financials and just being responsible.
We will divide up into groups and play the games and then write a couple of paragraphs about what we learned through the games.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
