Help me give my students hours of fun with games and crafts. I'm a school counselor who runs social skills groups and would love some new games to play with the kids. Thank you!

My Project

I am a School Counselor to 280 amazing fourth and fifth grade students. I teach the social emotional curriculum in our school as well as host 4 to 6 social skill groups per day. When I decided to become a School Counselor, I knew how important it is to have a trusted adult to help children navigate their worries and celebrate their victories. It is my ultimate goal to be able to reach each and every student on some level to make a positive impact on their lives. One of the ways I achieve this is by introducing cooperative games in peer groups. These games often act as a bridge in forming friendships and bonds that go beyond the classroom. Many of the games introduced help educate students on emotion management, problem solving, positive reinforcement, effective communication skills, collaborative efforts, and much more. Also, in a time where electronics capture the attention of our children more than direct social interaction, teaching proper communication skills at an early age is paramount now more than ever.
