My Students

My students are creative, young citizens who are diverse in their ethnic backgrounds. They come to my classroom full of life and energy. Their homes and families are rich in culture and tradition. While my students are creative and bring so many ideas to the table, they often lack the necessary resources to provide the opportunities, tools, activities, etc., to explore their ideas. I am seeking resources to create more opportunities for them to learn and grow through the arts.

My Project

Our school-wide incentive plan is focused around our mascot, a Tiger. We have "PAWS" expectations, and students are asked to show their "Tiger Pride" and keep "PAWS" throughout the school and classrooms. As they show excellent conduct and work hard, they are awarded with "PAWS Bucks." They can then spend the PAWS Bucks at the "PAWS R Us Store." We are stocking and restocking this store with all kinds of items, incentives, prizes, toys, school supplies, and more. The items in this project will support the social and emotional learning of my students as we teach them that good behavior brings good consequences and incentives.
