My Project
Welcome everyone to my Donors Choice page. I have been teaching special education for 25-plus years, and each year, my students teach me more than I ever could have dreamed. I work with students with diverse learning styles, and many face challenges with sensory processing. Staying focused and engaged during lessons can be difficult without the right sensory support for these students. Sensory tools such as fidget toys, textured materials, and sensory bins are essential for creating an environment where all students can thrive.
For students with sensory needs, tactile and movement-based materials help them regulate their emotions, calm their bodies, and focus on learning.
These tools support their attention, reduce anxiety, and allow them to stay engaged in lessons, ultimately fostering a better learning environment. By incorporating these sensory resources, my students will have the opportunity to access their full potential and succeed in their educational journey.
With these materials, I aim to create a classroom that supports not just academic success, but also emotional well-being, by providing students with the tools they need to feel comfortable and confident. These resources will help my students engage with the curriculum in a meaningful way and create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where every child can learn and grow.
