This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The goal of this project is to set up mindfulness stations to improve mental health. The crayons, highlighters, construction paper, and glue will help with the Art Station. Students will be able to pause, take a break, and let their creative side shine. The charging station will greatly help lower students' anxiety. We are a One to One school. Each student is issued a device having a station that allows them to charge them to charge their school device and have them ready for the day. There is also a game station. This will help students' mental health because it will build community and lower anxiety in the classroom. The stickers will help students with sensory issues and it will allow them to fidget in a controlled way.
There is a need to develop the whole student; building these stations in the classroom will improve the overall mental health of my students.
The goal is to lower anxiety and build bonds between the so they can work together effectively when required.
