My Project
As a new teacher, I want to prioritize social-emotional learning for my students. Many students come to school carrying big emotions, stress, or challenges from outside the classroom, and they need a safe, supportive space where they can pause, breathe, and manage those feelings in healthy ways.
There is a nook in the corner of my classroom that will serve as a calm-down corner.
And in this corner, I desire to place books, sensory materials, and calm visuals that will equip them to pause and breathe. Thank you for generous donation.
