My Project

My amazing and creative students think outside the box while learning real life skills. Measurement and precise cutting skills are integrated into each project and my incredible students rise to the challenges I create and excel beyond my expectations.

My goal for this project is for students to collaborate and integrate learning from their other classes.

Historical aspects of quilt making are discussed and connect back to the formation of our country. Mathematical skills are used as each student calculates length and width of each project, while using a sewing machine. Camaraderie is evident as students work together on patterns and design.
