This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are a creative and inquisitive group of young adults who enjoy working with their hands. They are motivated to learn, especially when they can see the fruits of their labor. I am constantly looking for new ways to provide meaningful and hands on learning opportunities for my students.
This aquaponics set will provide my students with the opportunity to learn about the relationship between plants and animals in an ecosystem.
It will permit my students the ability to learn about sustainable food production, and how plants can be grown without soil. Most importantly, your donation will allow my students to have the experience of keeping and caring for living creatures (the fish in our tank), which is something that many of my students have never had a chance to do.
