it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a kindergarten teacher at an inner-city school. I am privileged to work with 28 amazing children who are eager to learn and use any learning tools they are given. My students have a tremendous amount of learning to do this upcoming year, and most of it happens from repetition and practice.
My students like to read, participate, and ask questions!
Working as an elementary teacher in a low-income and high-poverty inner-city district is challenging itself. These pandemic years have been very difficult for our families and students.
My students face several challenges, both in and out of the classroom. Whichever challenge they meet, I strive to provide my students with the creative and meaningful learning experiences they deserve!
My Project
We are in desperate need of your help once again! With the pandemic, new curriculums, new programs, this school year started off very challenging.
Having a a classroom wireless color printer will help me print copies for my kindergartners to use.
There has been a shortage of supplies in schools and now the copy machine keeps malfunctioning every single day. We were told it could take months to get it fixed because orders are so back-ordered.
How can I possibly teach my kindergartners without being able to copy the work for each lesson? How can my kindergartners learn how to write their names without copies of the name to trace? How can my kindergartners learn how to write their shapes and numbers without the proper copies for it?
