FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Sultana's classroom raised $250

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I service students from kindergarten through 5th grade. They are all English Language Learners. Many of them are recent arrivals and need a lot of support for their learning. They are also economically disadvantaged and thus can't provide school supplies or essential materials needed for their learning. My students are amazing and have amazing potential. My goal is to help them reach their highest potential. But there is a scarcity of materials, especially electronic items as they are expensive and the school can't fund them.
My Project
The English Language Learners need a lot of assistance in developing their reading and listening skills. Even though they are helped in the classroom, they need to be helped at home. A growing body of research shows that successful parent involvement improves student achievement.
The family engagement language pack will help in involving parents by reading with their children, helping with sight words, and discussing school events.
Each student will be allowed to take a package home to practice with their parents and then bring it back after completing the package. This will help to incorporate the parents in the learning process.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
