My Project

**Grant Proposal: Enhancing Active Learning with Parachute Play in TK**

Incorporating a parachute, bean bags, and balls into our transitional kindergarten (TK) classroom will have a significant impact on our students’ physical, social, and emotional development.

Parachute play encourages teamwork, as children work together to keep objects in motion, follow directions, and communicate. This activity promotes coordination, balance, and upper body strength, which are essential for growing children.

Bean bags and balls will complement parachute games by providing opportunities for activities that target hand-eye coordination, spatial awareness, and motor skills. These tools allow for varied, dynamic play that helps students develop important skills while keeping them physically engaged.

Our primary goals are to promote teamwork and enhance physical development. Through collaborative games and active play, students will strengthen their communication and cooperation skills while building motor abilities. This project aims to foster a love for physical activity in a supportive, play-based learning environment.

Our TK students are special because they come from diverse backgrounds and bring a range of abilities to the classroom. Many are at the beginning of their educational journey, and these resources will create an inclusive, engaging environment that meets their developmental needs.
