Help me give my students the necessary technology tools to continue learning remotely, an Apple Pencil and an iPad Pro are powerful ones to achieve the performance expectations I am setting for them.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Whether there is or there is no pandemic, use of technology has been My classroom has been greatly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Students have to learn through the use of technology.
At first, it was a challenge because some of them do not have internet access but most of them have to take care of their younger siblings and others can't focus due to home situation.
Lessons are delivered to the students through the use of several platforms. Teacher-prepared slides and relevant videos are both uploaded electronically and the students are asked to read then complete worksheets.
During the one hour live class, assignments are graded and students are encouraged to ask or write questions for those items incorrectly answered. Students are encouraged to come to the online tutoring, too.
My Project
The use of iPad and Apple Pencil as tools are essentials during this situation for several reasons. It allows me to go on with my teaching practices by being paperless and board less. At present we are living with uncertainties and with new normal. Education particularly, classrooms are very much impacted by this crisis so new normal in the field of education is online learning.
I learned during this closure, teachers and students have different ways of getting engaged in distance learning.
But regardless of the differences, with these technology learning can still be fun and doable and targets can still be achieved. Taking notes or annotating slides when sharing screens is much better than using a white board that won't fit the screen of a laptop. On regular school situation, during regular we can always let the students to use the iPad whenever they have issues with their computer and most specially when they forget their own computer.
