This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach over 700 students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade at two Title I schools. My students live in a rural part of South Carolina and come from a variety of diverse backgrounds. This project would support the students at both of my schools.

My students are creative, smart, and eager to have hands-on learning activities that will prepare them to become 21st-century learners.

I want all of my students to have the opportunity to create artwork with all the materials they need and provide them with a fun, engaging, and hands-on learning environment.

My Project

The requested art materials will help support over 500 elementary art students between two schools. We use a lot of art supplies in one school year! The drawing paper and construction paper will be used to restock our paper supplies at both of the schools I teach at. I will use the expo markers to demonstrate how to create projects on the whiteboard. The requested scissors are one of my students favorite items in my room and I would like to have enough so both schools can have their own set.
