My students are the light of my life. They come to my classroom with a number of social issues and, together, we turn a group of inner city kids into motivated and excited learners. The school is considered to be in a high poverty location, but all of us understand that we must forge ahead because a good education is imperative for their future success.
"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela
From day one, my students are aware of my perspective on education. Together we make goals that help each one of them strive to use their education as a weapon to guide in their success. They understand this quote from Nelson Mandela and explain how it applies to their own lives and learning. At the end of the year, I always reflect on how well they are doing with their "powerful weapon."
My Project
This paper will make a big difference in our class. Paper is a necessary tool in our classroom. In my class, paper is used to award student accomplishments, communicate with parents, and to keep our own personal academic portfolios up-to-date.
My students love to create everything from writing pieces, science projects, art projects, and cards for our loved ones.
Third graders are immensely creative and paper is a necessary classroom tool to allow them to show off their projects. This paper will make my students productive and proud.
I couldn't ask more of a project than having happy students and a teacher too!
