Students are constantly referring to notes/examples to help them get through problems.
My students live in a high poverty area and dedicate no resources on things such as paper.
Their basic needs are barely met at home, so buying paper for classwork isn't exactly what's on their minds. I'd like to remove this extra burden from them by supplying them with quality paper.
My Project
With the new common core curriculum, most textbooks do not cover required topics or, if they do, do not do so with enough rigor. Because of this, students need supplemental material which I would provide for them on the requested paper. Only with this would they meet the requirements for the common core Regents examination.
Students should always have the required resources and materials to help them learn and/or succeed at life-defining high stakes tests.
With the requested paper, students wouldn't be burdened by the shortcomings of textbooks.
