Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This will be my second year working with my students, first in 4th grade and now in fifth. I am looking forward to spending another year with them. They are very bright and hardworking children. They are very thoughtful and polite and love to volunteer to help each other and their teachers. They made so much progress last year and I cannot wait to see how much they grow this year. I know that they are capable of doing great things.
My Project
My school is a Title I school that does not provide us with copy paper. The students are asked to bring in copy paper as part of their supplies; however, many of their parents struggle financially and are unable to send in supplies.
Our curriculum requires many anchor charts and other resources for the students to use when they are completing their work.
We go through many reams of paper throughout the year. This copy paper will give me the opportunity to make copies of anchor charts and resources that will help my students with their reading, writing, and math.
