My Project
Our school is located in the inner city with underprivileged families striving for a better life. Single parents, grandparents, and older siblings continue to do their very best to instill a better way of living for their families. They face many challenges, but that doesn't impede them from wanting to learn or stop them from dreaming big.
We are 95% African American, 2% Haitian American, 2% Hispanic, and 1% Caucasian, with 97% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
Our school budget has been cut so right now there is no copy paper in the school. So to get my children learning at school and home I need to get this project funded. The tactile experience of writing on paper can help students develop their fine motor skills, which are important for learning and overall physical development.
This paper will also help the students academics, when they are involved in hands-on projects.
In addition, the paper will be utilized for self expression in the classroom and needed to develop their creativity and imagination. Finally for permission forms and parent information to help connect with families.
