This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative; my students are eager to immerse themselves in our art projects. They are fearless when it comes to trying new things. Although many students are trying things for the first time in my class, they approach every new project with a positive attitude. For these reasons, I want them to have all the different mediums and materials available to them so they can learn and experience new things. I know the students will appreciate your donations.
My Project
First every class and every level is going to make paper. We are going to blend up pulp and recycled paper to make our own paper. Once it is pressed and dried level 2 and 3 will be using the paper to cover the outside of the journals they are making this year. A few students will take it a step further and use it to create unique journals for their Fairchild Challenge project "Shade Our School." This is a fun and create project that allows the students to learn about the paper making process, how they can make it, and use this custom paper.
