Many of my students benefit from having composition notebooks to use for journaling, note-taking, and personal reflection. A sturdy, bound notebook gives them a dedicated place to record their thoughts, practice their writing skills, and track their growth over time. Journaling also helps students process their ideas, build creativity, and develop consistent writing habits. Having their own notebook means their work stays organized and can be revisited throughout the year. Likewise, printer paper is just as essential in the classroom. It allows me to provide students with printed notes, guided worksheets, and graphic organizers that make lessons more accessible and engaging. Printed materials help students follow along more effectively, give them the opportunity to annotate and highlight, and ensure they have the resources they need for studying—especially for those who may not have reliable access to technology at home.
Unfortunately, some families are unable to provide all the school supplies their children need.
This is why I’m requesting composition notebooks and printer paper—to make sure every student, regardless of financial circumstances, has the tools to succeed. By providing these materials, I can remove a barrier to learning and give all students an equal opportunity to participate fully in lessons, develop important skills, and take pride in their work.
