Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The paper items requested will assist my PreK students in many ways. In our classroom, our students attend different centers throughout the day such as, art center, computer center, writing center, house center, and block center. Our goal is to have enough paper goods in each area which students can utilize to create and use their imagination. For example, when students are in the house area they can create menus or grocery lists; students in the block area can draw buildings or roads they would like to build, etc.
The items requested will provide my students the opportunity to further develop writing skills, fine motor skills, and encourage creativity.
We will also utilize the paper goods to brainstorm and create anchor charts, such as alphabet charts, compare and contrast charts, and math charts. These charts will be created by teachers and students and will be displayed in different areas throughout our classroom.
