Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having digital resources for students and assignments that are online can be great for students, particularly when remote work is needed or when we need that digital aspect. What I have found, though, is that students retain information better, engage more, and collaborate more with their peers when they have hard copies of assignments. It is also necessary to have these for when the WIFI goes down or computers are not working.
With this donation, I will have paper to make the copies my students need.
Each year, and this year more than others, I have had to buy cases of paper for my classroom. We are provided very few reams of paper each year, and they are gone before the first month is over. This leaves the rest of the year a scramble to get paper or to buy paper out of our own pocket.
