Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is a public school in Oakland, California. Our school is 95% free and reduced-price lunch. Our students and their families speak many different languages and come from all over the world.
My students are full of excitement and wonder.
They love to ask questions and figure things out. My students work well together and help one another throughout the school day. We have created a warm and loving school environment that encourages all of our students to give their best effort. We celebrate successes and learn from our mistakes.
My Project
Our students are at home during this time of distance learning. We want to make sure that they are not just doing activities on the computer, but also have the opportunity to write and do activities on paper. This paper will allow us to provide learning packets that will go home once a week for students. These packets support the online learning that are students are participating in. They will be able to practice and write down their thoughts. These packets are collected weekly so that teachers can monitor student progress.
