Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Acquiring enough paper for 400+ inner city students is pretty tough on our tight school budget! It is a real PAPER CHASE this year.
I teach art to students in grades K-8 at a charter school. The students that I teach are high need and many have a difficult time getting even basic school supplies.
As an art teacher I serve over 400+ K-8 students. I see all of my students at least twice a week. It is a wonderful opportunity for the students to learn about and create art. The large volume of students and multiple visits to the art room each week create a huge need for paper supplies.
This project will provide enough drawing paper and construction paper to allow my 400+ art students to draw, paint, cut and paste their way through an entire year of art. Rather than only being able to use computer paper and recycled papers, they will be able to create art with larger and more durable paper materials.
Your donation will ensure that the students in my school are able to complete numerous art projects without paper limitations. Please join me in helping give the students at my school a great art education.
