Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach in an inclusive preschool classroom which means I use a lot of visuals! I use visuals on the doors, tables, closets, and bulletin boards. Visuals help students learn where to sit, what is expected of them, and where things belong. As a result of all these visuals, I go through a lot of paper and ink that is why I am requesting HP ink and Hammermill Printer Paper!
In addition to visuals, I also use paper and ink to modify materials to make them more developmentally appropriate.
For example, I make felt board stories that the students can use in the library center.
Children love to retell stories and these props make it easier for them to do that therefore students are more engaged and focused when they see visuals displayed all around the room.
