it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
To provide students with hands-on experience in design and entrepreneurship, we propose the purchase of a heat press and sublimation printer to launch a school spirit store. This equipment will allow students to create customized apparel and accessories, helping them develop essential design skills using graphic design software while learning the technical aspects of sublimation printing. By working with these tools, students will gain valuable experience in product creation, quality control, and branding—skills that are increasingly relevant in today’s digital and creative industries.
Beyond design, this initiative will instill entrepreneurial skills as students engage in the process of running a small business.
They will learn how to manage inventory, set pricing, develop marketing strategies, and handle customer transactions, fostering financial literacy and business acumen. Additionally, students will collaborate in teams, enhancing their problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities as they work to make the school spirit store a success.
Finally, a school-run spirit store will boost school pride by offering custom-made apparel and accessories that reflect our unique culture and identity. With the ability to produce personalized and high-quality products on demand, students can create designs tailored to specific events, teams, and clubs, fostering a stronger sense of community. This project not only benefits students by equipping them with real-world skills but also enhances school spirit, making it a meaningful and sustainable investment in our school’s future.
