Help me give my students a student run, special needs store and cafe that teaches real life skills and employability opportunity. This includes a blender, floor lamp, steam mop, and more.
I need help creating a school cafe run by teenagers with developmental disabilities. This is such a special project! I have been teaching students with autism and other developmental disabilities for 1/2 my life.
My goals for this project is to open a student run cafe to teach employability skills, money skills, communication and to promote independence.
Your donations will go such a long way in providing a worksite for my students in the safety of their own school.
These specific items (blender, floor lamp, steam mop, etc.) will teach the most valuable lessons that they can apply in the future, helping them become employable members of our community. We would be so grateful for your help!
