Pandemic Pandemonium: Teaching Students About Local Government During A Crisis
Help me give my students books for our Pandemic Pandemonium class! We are designing emergency management plans for New York City, and we want to learn from mistakes of the past.
Students at my school will be creating emergency management plans that they will present to the New York City Office of Emergency Management. This book is delightful, and will engage students with stories of plagues and how governments have handled them.
It is my goal to get students off of screens this year, and to spend more time reading and discussing books.
This is a great one, and it will get them more involved with history! I will be teaching this class every year, so these books will benefit the students I have this year and in years to come. Thank you!
