Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are part of a special education program called Preschool for All Learners (PAL). They all present developmental delays but that does not delay their curiosity in learning. My students are lively little ones that are excited and anxious about new activities. They enjoy hands-on activities, books, music, technology, and dance.
My students are exceptional and providing them with the proper materials to reach milestones is one of my goals as a teacher.
They all have a variety of disabilities and they are all unique in their own way. My students help each other, are kind, and respectful. What makes this group so special is that they build each other up and we all learn from each other.
My Project
The supplies requested are to continue to keep my students actively learning while at home. These supplies allow them to do hands on activities while engaging with teachers at home rather than just watching teachers do it via zoom.
Having resources at home allows our students and parents to participate with us during distant learning.
The resources requested will help our students complete activities in areas such as math, language, and art. The supplies will allow my students to also continue learning during asynchronous time with families. The intention of having manipulatives at home is to continue to have interest and engagement during our online sessions.
