This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The students in my class are eager to learn. They are becoming avid readers and are highly interested in art. Tying literature to art makes reading come to life! After reading a good book, connecting an art project to the book helps the book become unforgettable. I plan on using the materials requested to create visual works of art to enhance their literacy development.

In the visual arts, developing literacy occurs as a result of engaging in an authentic creative process through the use of various art materials.

Please help give my students much needed art supplies.
