My Students
I work in an urban community with young children ages three to five. Our neighborhood isn't always the safest or the most beautiful. Our children may see destroyed buildings and graffiti written all around the neighborhood.
We would like to turn the unattractive scenery around us into masterpieces created from our young scholars.
Learning to write and draw are the beginning steps to opening up a world of creativity. Our young children need to have more outlets to express their colorful imagination.
My Project
Arts and crafts are were our children can let their imagination roam. With a new easel and art supplies, our children will be able to create projects and paint vivid pictures of their future and keep a smile on their face
It has been a challenge teaching fine motor skills virtually.
However with these materials, we will be prepared to work one on one again with our children in the Fall to teach those important life skills. We will be practicing how to hold pencils, paint brushes and other fine motor skills.
