Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach both preschool and high school students...and I love it! I guess you can say I get the best of both worlds. In the morning we have 3 and 4 year old students that come to our high school to be part of a preschool learning environment. My high school students are considered student teachers. They are interested in pursuing careers working with children after graduation. They work with the 3 and 4 year old students in the morning during our lab.
Arts and crafts are vital for child development as they enhance creativity, fine motor skills, problem-solving, and social skills.
They provide a unique outlet for self-expression and exploration, boosting confidence and helping children learn and connect. Moreover, engaging in art and craft activities promotes cognitive development, critical thinking, and decision-making.
My students will use the paint, construction paper, and butcher paper daily for writing, and arts and crafts.
