Painting the Town

Help me give my students acrylic paint to keep the colors and creativity going.

My Project

Art class is an integral part of a child's education. This is where they learn how to access their creativity which is so important in a person's life. Creativity is what makes the innovations of tomorrow. In our class we try to provide a wide variety of projects and activities that will achieve this. I love watching all the different ways that students run with an idea when they have the supplies they want. Painting is used in many of the projects they do.

Having plenty of paint and a variety of paint colors at all times keeps the creative process flowing.

Today, for instance, they ran out of the light blue and almost every student was complaining. Black and white are used a lot along with yellow and yellow ochre. A few years ago I added a bright pink to the palette and it has been so popular. They are also learning to mix paint and create new colors.

Paint is not the only highly used medium but if I can get this DonorsChoose project funded my budget would be able to handle the other things. All of my students will appreciate being able to replenish the paint supply and get to work.
