This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This art project gives my students a creative outlet to explore their feelings. Students can begin to recognize and name their emotions, which is important in developing self-awareness and emotional regulation. Using art can also be helpful in managing stress.

Many of my students have English as a second language and this project will allow them to express their thoughts and emotions without the limitation of words.

My students are so appreciative of any supplies that are provided. I can already see the excitement in their eyes when they find out that we will be painting in the classroom!
