Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students LOVE to paint. They ask me practically every day, “are we painting today?” With this generous donation of heavy weight tag board, paper, crayons, and acrylic paint, my students will be able to paint more often and, as a result, get better at things Ave subjects they are painting.

Painting helps build fine motor skills and helps with observational skills as well.

Having heavy paper that won’t disintegrate under the paint is a key aspect in students enjoying the process.

Painting is calming to a lot of students, and I strive for my art room to be a place of refuge for students who may be dealing with issues in their classroom or at home.
