Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work as the special ed teacher in an Intergraded Co-teaching 4th grade assignment. The students I work with have a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. Many of them are English language learners from immigrant families.
Throughout the course of the day, I rotate with my specific students into three classrooms.
We see the math, science and ELA teachers for one hour each. We then go back to homeroom for social studies.
Each of my students has something special and unique to contribute.
My Project
My students will get to be just like one of the artists we will explore throughout our sessions. They will be getting to paint their own creations and get a chance to be just like a real artist. The paint and paint brushes will help them complete their projects. The canvas will help them have a place to paint and have as a memory.
These materials will help my students have a chance to use actually paint to be just like an artist they look up to.
I want to give them the opportunity to paint and have a chance to learn about different types of paintings.
