Painting in Our Classroom!

My students need paints, brushes, and art aprons, to paint in their art studio.

My Students

The first day of school I ask my preschoolers to look around our classroom and tell me what made them the most excited to be at school. Nine out of the 15 students in the room pointed to the easel and explained they could not wait to use that! It is breaking my heart to see excitement drain as they use crayons and markers on the easel rather than paint because we do not have the materials for them to experiment with.

I don’t know if we have the next Picasso in our classroom but I sure want to be sure they are given every opportunity to explore their creativity.

Picasso or not every preschooler deserves to create his or her own masterpieces!

My Project

Going to school in the inner city can be a very difficult experience for a student. There is not always enough money in the school's budget for every classroom to get the supplies that are needed. Students can suffer by not having the proper supplies that foster their creativity. By donating to my Donors Choose page, these paints, brushes, and art aprons, will help give my students the opportunity to explore with paint. The Art Studio will now become a more engaging center to help students nourish their creativity. I can't wait for my students to finally be able to build confidence through their artwork.
