This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our district has just begun having art offered to all students. I am an experienced teacher but new to this role, and trying to obtain all the materials and supplies I will need. If I want to do painting in other teachers' classrooms, it will be essential that I can have drying racks with wheels that I can bring with me.
I think art is essential for students of lower SES and diverse backgrounds, because school may be one of their only opportunities to learn to create.
These students may not be lucky enough to have extracurricular activities, but through school they can express their creativity and learn to create art.
