My Students
Located in Northeast Washington, DC, my school and students are creative and love being able to artistically express themselves. They especially love to create art projects related to what they are studying in their general education classes. They look forward to art class and are very appreciative (and very surprised and excited!) when they receive new supplies.
Teachers spend a lot of time developing the confidence and curiosity of the students and this is furthered in the art classroom through creativity.
My Project
It's hard to believe but we are already over halfway through the school year! It's very difficult to use traditional liquid paints because I teach a large number of students and cleanup can be very time-consuming. The materials would be much appreciated as use and cleanup is much easier with tempera cakes and watercolor. I have a lot of great ideas, but not enough supplies. Students love and appreciate art and I would love to continue that interest. In the coming weeks, we will use the paints in projects based around Andy Warhol, Paul Klee, and Vincent van Gogh.
