This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my classroom are active learners. They are very independent workers. Most come from lower economic homes in San Jose, CA and have very few resources at their disposal. I also have a lot of students who are bilingual, and English is their second language.

Students in my classroom are thinkers and problem solvers.

They dive into all areas of the curriculum and read about it, explore it, question it, and develop a good understanding of the subject or topic we are learning about. We are in an open pod school pod with 3 other classes.

My Project

Students love to color and paint. It allows them to expand their creativity and expression. Art also is a way for students to relax, have fun, and use their imagination. I teach art in my classroom and never have enough paints or oil pastels for my students to each have their own set of materials. I am looking for someone to help me provide these materials so that each of my students has the materials for art. During the lessons, I would like to focus on watercolor art and use oil pastels to help students realize there are no mistakes in art. It helps with the growth mindset.

Art is a great way for students to engage in a meaningful activity that can foster their creativity and appreciation of art.

If you are able to help me provide these materials to my students I would greatly appreciate it.
