it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergartens are joyful, imaginative, and full of ideas. They love to create and express themselves through art. It is the way they begin to tell their own stories as they develop their foundational language and writing skills. To support their learning, I’m requesting supplies that will fuel their creativity and help them bring their ideas to life.
We need tempera paint cakes, oil pastels, colored pencils, and watercolor paper to create beautiful art projects.
These vibrant paints and oil pastels will enable my kindergarteners to express themselves creatively and build confidence in their ideas. These materials will help my students develop fine motor skills, focus, and a sense of pride in their accomplishments.
Our school serves a diverse student body, with 85% of our students qualifying for free or reduced lunch. My kindergarteners come from many racial and cultural backgrounds. Access to art supplies gives them the tools to express their identities and experiences. This project supports racial justice by ensuring all students, especially those historically underserved, enjoy quality art materials that support their creative learning, allowing them to see themselves, their cultures, and their voices in their creations. Every child will have an equal opportunity to explore, create, and grow through art.
