The canvas and paint that I am requesting will help my students showcase what they are learning about proportional relationships and equivalent ratios, through painting. Students will get the opportunity to incorporate Art in math class and make a meaningful connection to what they are learning.
It is important for students to make connections to what they are learning in math class because it enables them to have a deeper understanding of the concepts being taught.
Incorporating Art in math class will also support my different types of learners to gain access to the concepts of proportional relationships and equivalent ratios.
