Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These sketchbooks will give students a tangible place for all their semester's drawings. I am a strong believer that practice makes progress, and having all a student's art class drawings in one place helps them to see their artistic growth and personal style across the pages. In addition to artistic development, these sketchbooks will help students build their literacy skills as they write artists statements, use written brainstorming techniques, collect research, and write reflections.
My goal for this project is for students to build a well rounded portfolio for them to keep, which will help instill a sense of confidence in each student's ability, and encourage care and completion of their work as it contributes to their own personal collection.
