Help me give my students a marimba! We have a growing and thriving percussion program at SAHS, and we do not own the most important instrument for developing their skills as soloists - a marimba.
The percussion program at SAHS is growing quickly and these students are ambitious learners who are hungry for more opportunities!
Our students are ready to begin learning more advanced percussion literature and playing techniques but are unable to do so without access to a marimba, and it is our goal to make that happen this year!
Marimba is the standard solo instrument for percussionists, and we need to provide our students with access to one so they can grow as musicians! Many of these students have music ambitions in college, and we are not currently well-equipped to prepare them for collegiate percussion auditions due to their inability to develop those skills and practice.
Please help equip our students with the resources and skills they need to continue progressing in music and provide meaningful learning and performing opportunities.
