This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a teacher to an amazing group of fourth grade students and in a short time, we have formed a bond with each other. I look forward to the warm good morning smiles and greetings from each one as they walk into our classroom. The school they attend is classified as a Title One school. All of them qualify for the free lunch program. The community in which they live in is stricken by a high level of poverty. This, however, does not affect their desire to please me, which in turn makes me love my job even more so.
My Project
The selected items will be used for my students that have no means of purchasing their own. The various backpacks will help hold all of the children's books and supplies together. My fourth graders will become orderly and organized with their personal belongings.
By donating to our project, you will enable my students to have a basic school supply that most of their parents are unable to provide for them.
Thank-you in advance for providing for my students what every child deserves to have, but have no resources to do so. These backpacks will make a group of nine and ten year old students very excited and happy.
