This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Dissecting barn owl pellets for a unique educational experience, learning about biology, anatomy, and the food chain in an interactive way. By carefully examining the remains of what owls have eaten, one can gain insight into their behavior and environment in a hands-on manner. Not only does this provide valuable knowledge of the natural world, but it also serves as an enjoyable activity. Students benefit from activities that would not normally be available to them if it were not for the school environment.
Sometimes teaching science can be a real challenge to come up with ideas to keep the attention of young
students. This interesting science exercise keeps students involved by helping them identify what prey an
owl has consumed. STEM-approved, dissecting barn owl pellets are great for classrooms everywhere.
