My Project

Hello, we are looking for your help in getting owl pellets. Our students love science and would be thrilled to be able to do a hands-on dissection. Owl pellets are ideal for a sixth-grade class because they are quick, safe, and dramatic. There's nothing like finding a shrew, mouse, or even a bird in an owl pellet!

Students will learn firsthand about our beautiful and increasingly fragile planet Earth.

This project will allow my students to see direct evidence of food webs and will be a valuable part of our ecology unit. We will use the owl pellets, tweezers, scalpels, and gloves for the lab. We will use the colored pencils to create beautiful ecology artwork after.
