This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are very curious and constantly show they’re passion for learning, especially when provided with learning experiences such as dissecting owl pellets. I truly believe that STEAM, hands-on experiences, will help keep my fourth graders engaged and learning all the way through to the end of the school year. Through this experience students will use their reading skills to learn about predator and prey. We will use math math and science to collect data, writing to present their findings and collaboration skills to share strategies. Most importantly, this activity will equitable learning as my English language learners practice using learned vocabulary in a meaningful way.
